Florida Debt Relief-Real Estate-Consumer Rights Attorney Profile
Timothy S. Owens
Timothy S. Owens is the founder of The Owens Law Firm, P.A., a consumer rights and debt relief law firm located in Tampa, Florida and serving clients throughout the entire state of Florida.
Mr. Owens was born and raised in the small town of Oak Island, North Carolina. Tim and his 3 younger brothers could often be found, at a very young age, working in their father's drug store sweeping floors, washing windows, and picking up trash in the parking lot. Although only 10-12 years old at the time, this experience had a profound affect on Mr. Owens and taught him the value of hard work. As a young boy Mr. Owens also watched his father, a pharmacist, care for his customers and go the extra mile to ensure they were truly being helped no matter the personal sacrifice it may require. From this Mr. Owens learned that there are certain positions in life where people count on you and depend on your expertise and experience to help them in their time of need.
In December of 2000 Mr. Owens graduated from Stetson College of Law after completing his coursework ahead of schedule and graduating in just 2.5 years
Upon graduation Mr. Owens immediately began work as an Assistant State Attorney for the Sixth Judicial Circuit. During this time Mr. Owens quickly “rose through the ranks” and was handling complex felony cases early in his career. Mr. Owens gained valuable experience by prosecuting a wide variety of cases, from misdemeanors to violent felony offenses including first degree murder and crimes agains children. During his time as a prosecutor Mr. Owens gained invaluable real world litigation experience. Mr. Owens conducted hundreds of depositions, countless motions and over 100 jury trials. This experience allowed Mr. Owens to develop the skills and talent that make him the attorney and seasoned litigator that he is today
In early 2003 Mr. Owens continued his mission to protect and serve Floridians in need when he founded The Owens Law Firm, P.A. in Tampa, Florida. Well aware of the fact that Floridians were among the hardest hit by the economic downturn, and that Florida homeowners were in desperate need of help, he dedicated his life, and his practice, to providing this much needed assistance. Mr. Owens and his law firm have successfully handled thousands of these cases and he puts in the time and money to ensure he is the most well trained and prepared attorney in this area of law.
